Piedmont Unified School District: Traffic Advisory – Road Work On Magnolia Ave.
The majority of work will take place outside of school hours, but may affect traffic/parking during drop-off/pick-up times.

PUSD families are advised that construction work on Magnolia Avenue that will be taking place over the next few weeks. The work is authorized and will be supervised by the City of Piedmont and is not part of PUSD’s H1 Bond construction plan. The majority of work will take place outside of school hours, but may affect traffic/parking during drop-off/pick-up times. Please be aware of the following schedule:

- Monday 1/17 & Tuesday 1/18 – 9:00am to 6:00pm. Phase 3 Communications will be excavating bore pits at Magnolia & Highland in the Piedmont PD parking area, at Bonita & Magnolia, and Magnolia & Hillside. Some parking spaces along Magnolia may be affected.
- Tuesday 1/18 through Friday 1/21 – 9:00am to 8:00pm – Rock drilling will take place at Magnolia & Highland in Piedmont PD parking area. Drilling will break from 3:00-4:00pm to allow for pick-up of students. This area will remain blocked off as a staging area for the rock drilling equipment with PD approval.
- Friday 1/21 – 9:00am to 8:00pm – Entrance to tennis courts at Magnolia & Bonita will be blocked. The driveway to the tennis courts will remain open during off working hours, but the parking area will remain closed for the duration of work for staging of equipment.
- Monday 1/24 to Friday 1/28 – 9:00am to 8:00pm – Drilling will take place on Magnolia from Bonita to Hillside. Work will stop from 3:00-4:00pm to allow for pick-up of students.
Please allow for extra time when driving near campuses and be aware of pedestrians and equipment. We apologize for any inconvenience.
In addition, PUSD is excited to report the Magnolia Ave sidewalk in front of the new theater at Piedmont High School will be open for pedestrian traffic starting Tuesday, 1/18, at 7:00am. Thank you for your patience during this project.
