Planning Board Holds Work Session Today on Zoning Code Changes

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and comment on the proposed changes.

The Piedmont Planning Commission will hold a work session today (Monday, Sept. 30) on potential changes to the city's zoning code.

The session is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the Emergency Operations Center conference room at the Piedmont Police Station, 403 Highland Ave. The agenda for the meeting is available on the City of Piedmont website here.

For details about the proposed code changes, see "Bringing Piedmont's Zoning Code into the 21st Century."

Members of the public will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed changes.

The work session follows a public hearing on the changes at the commission's Sept. 9 meeting. Public comment at that hearing focused mainly on encouraging mixed commercial-residential development in some areas.

For more information, call City Planner Kate Black at (510) 420-3050.

Today's work session will not be televised on KCOM-TV, Channel 27.
