OAKLAND, CA — A woman who was fatally shot in East Oakland on Tuesday morning was identified by police today as 26-year-old Marla Minter-Brooks of Oakland. Minter-Brooks was found shot in the 600 block of Almanza Drive, near Sobrante Park, at 8:53 a.m. Tuesday and died a short time later at a hospital, according to police.
No arrests have been made and police haven't disclosed a motive for the killing.
