PINOLE-HERCULES, CA — After a months-long search, police arrested a man suspected of spray-painting four businesses and a home with messages criticizing elected officials.

Pinole police arrested Todd Graybeal, 55, of Rodeo on Monday and charged him with felony vandalism.

In what came to be known as the “Red Paint Rampage," Graybeal is suspected targeting five locations, including four local businesses and one residential property between 2:10 and 2:50 a.m. on July 30. One of the businesses was reported to be a bowling alley.

Graybeal is in the Martinez Detention Facility.

Police did not release specific information about the contents of the messages, but one comment on the Pinole police Facebook page said that Graybeal complained about the conditions of roads and other city infrastructure.
