Hercules Police: Ammo Surrender and Drugs Arrests
Hercules Police Department calls for service March 8-9, 2016.

Hercules Police Department Commander's List of written reports in town this week.
- On March 8, at 9:19 a.m., a Rodeo resident arrived at the Hercules Police Department lobby to turn ammunition in for destruction that has belonged to her deceased husband.
- Also on March 8, at 12:30 p.m., an officer stopped a driver with a brake light out that lead to the arrest of Walter Linville, 57, for being in possession of a controlled substance that was believed to be narcotics. The officer reports being able to see the alleged drugs on the seat and floorboard of the vehicle. Linville was booked in the Martinez Detention Facility.
- On March 9, at 12:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a possible drunk driver exiting eastbound I-80 at Willow Avenue towards Sycamore. The vehicle was described as a white Toyota or Honda. Officers found a vehicle that fit the description and pulled the driver over in the 4000 block of San Pablo Ave.
- According to the commander’s report, Jehad Zakot, 23, of Oakland was not under the influence, however, he was driving on a suspended license and had a warrant for his arrest. Officers also downs pills determined to be narcotics and non-narcotics, as well as medical marijuana in the glove box. Zakot was arrested and also charges with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
