Hercules Police Log: Underwater Graffiti, Domestic Fights, Hydrant Hit-Run
Some of the instances that kept Hercules police busy this past week

Here are some of the items from the Hercules police log between July 26 and July 31.
Friday, July 26
Pool graffiti: Police were summoned at 6:09 p.m. to the 100 block of Wadi Run after a homeowner reported someone had used a waterproof pen to write graffiti at the bottom of a community pool.
Saturday, July 27
Slap fight: A man called police at 1:59 p.m. to report he had hit his girlfriend but only after she had slapped him. Officers went to the residence. Only the boyfriend was home. He told officers he hadn't hit his girlfriend, but she had slapped him in the face several times. The man had no visible injuries and he declined to accept medical treatment.
Sunday, July 28
Another fight: Officers responded at 5:44 p.m. to reports of a fight inside an apartment on the 200 block of Apollo. The man who lives there told officers his female domestic partner had hit him several times in the face. There was redness on the side of the man's face, so the domestic partner was arrested on charges of domestic violence.
Monday, July 29
License plate theft: Police were called at 8:37 a.m. by a resident who said a license plate was stolen from their 1997 Honda Accord while it was parked on Titan near Hercules Avenue.
Tuesday, July 30
Yet another fight: A man called police at 7:03 p.m. to report he had been attacked by his girlfriend in their home on the 1400 block of Forest Run. The man had redness on his face and a scratch behind his ear. The 27-year-old girlfriend was located at the Jack In The Box restaurant on San Pablo Avenue. She was arrested on charges of corporal injury to a cohabitant.
Wednesday, July 31
Hit-run on hydrant: Police went to the intersection of Falcon and Meadowlark at 5:55 a.m. A hydrant had been sheared off by a dark-colored vehicle that have driven off after the incident. Firefighters were called in and shut off the water flow.
