Hercules Teen Arrested at School on Suspicion of Carrying Knife

A fixed-blade hunting knife was allegedly found in the student's backpack, according to police officials.

HERCULES, CA: A 17-year-old boy was arrested at a high school in Hercules Friday afternoon after police allegedly found a knife in his backpack. A school resource officer was requested at an administrator's office at 2:42 p.m. Friday after a student was reportedly seen on campus with a knife.

The officer found a fixed-blade hunting knife in the student's backpack and arrested him. The student was later released to his parents, according to police. Further details were not immediately available.
