UPDATED: Injury Accident in Pinole Knocked Out Power Line, Avoid the Area
Do you know what to do if live wires are on or around your vehicle? Pinole PD has a few reminders for drivers and updates on the accident.

UPDATE: Pinole Police Department reports that power has been fully restored, lanes are all open and the driver transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officials also reminded drivers to always stay in the vehicle until the power can be shutdown if there are wires down near your vehicle. The driver in this collision did the right thing and waited until PG&E arrived and disconnected the power. The driver suffered only minor injuries.

PINOLE, CA- Utility crews are working to repair a power pole that was hit by a car this morning, one motorist injured in the crash.
An accident at Alhambra Valley Road near Castro Ranch Road near Pinole caused a power outage, closed the road in both directions and sent the driver to the hospital, officials report.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company says power was restored to most of the surrounding area by Monday afternoon, however there will be road delays for up to eight hours so residents have been advised to take additional routes and take precautions due to non-functioning traffic signals.
There have been no reports on the injured driver’s condition released.
