Whiz Kid: "Diana" Wing Tung So

This week's Whiz Kid has a passion for behavioral science, especially psychology and sociology.

Taking part in her first science fair at high school level, "Diana" Wing Tung  So — an 11th-grader at Pinole Valley High School — earned a second place ribbon at the West Contra Costa Science Fair.

Her project, “Is Beauty Subjective?” explored social and individual perspectives to determine whether beauty is, indeed, in the eye of the beholder.

Diana says that her love for science stems from its diversity: a trait she also appreciates in her high school. Pinole Valley, Diana says, has allowed her to shine.
