• Agreement Secures Renewable Energy, Recycled Water for California Data Center (biologicaldiversity.org) — Pittsburg officials have agreed to stronger environmental safeguards for a new data center, including 100% renewable energy, recycled water for cooling, and rooftop solar. The deal, reached after a lawsuit by the Center for Biological Diversity, also creates a $750,000 climate resiliency fund for disadvantaged Pittsburg neighborhoods and requires wildlife monitoring and quieter, lower-emission construction practices.
