• Orange County Drivers Are Increasingly Helping Patch City Budgets (voiceofoc.org) — Placentia drivers could soon pay $5 to park overnight in two downtown lots, after the City Council unanimously approved a one-year pilot program aimed at easing parking shortages and boosting enforcement funding. The new fees, modeled on nearby cities’ systems, are expected to generate up to $90,000 and come as Placentia faces a roughly $3 million budget deficit and rising parking fine revenues.
