Hill was spotted, according to deputies, and observed forcing his way into a silver Prius, pushing the driver to the passenger seat.
The Sheriff's office says as officers attempted to remove Hill from the car, the suspect accelerated the car backwards at three officers and a police K9.
Hill fled the scene. The vehicle was later recovered in Oakland according to authorities.
Detectives investigating the incident as a possible carjacking on Friday determined it was not a carjacking, and that the suspect and the driver of the silver Prius in question knew each other, according to authorities.
The Sheriff's Office says it has been confirmed that the original driver and the vehicle are not connected to ride-hailing service Uber.
Bryan Hill faces charges included three counts of attempted murder on a peace officer; stolen vehicle; and felony evasion.
Hill is also on probation.
The Contra Costa Sheriff's Office says Bryan Hill is 6 ft, 3 inches, 280 pounds, with brown colored eyes, and is bald. He also has tattoos of music symbols on his neck.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Hill is asked to contact the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office at (925) 646-2441 or their local law enforcement agency.
