Fire Destroys 2 Homes In Pleasant Hill, Injures Firefighter
Two homes collapsed in a three-alarm blaze on Old Rodgers Ranch Court in Pleasant Hill.

PLEASANT HILL, CA β Fire crews have cleared from the scene of a three-alarm fire Sunday night that displaced at least two families, according to Contra Costa County Fire Protection District officials. One firefighter was hospitalized with an injured ankle while battling the blaze that destroyed two houses Sunday in western Pleasant Hill, fire Capt. Tracie Dutter said.
The fire was first reported shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday on Old Rodgers Ranch Court in Pleasant Hill, about a block south of the Rodgers Ranch Heritage Center historical site.
Dutter said both houses collapsed, but that flames didn't spread to other houses on the block.

PG&E crews arrived on the scene to turn off natural gas lines, and Dutter said those lines had to be
shut off before firefighters could fully fight the blaze.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. An exact number of people displaced wasn't available.
