Pleasant Hill Police Arrest Man Accused Of Having Sex With Minors

Police report they found two missing juveniles with the suspect.

PLEASANT HILL, CA —Pleasant Hill police said Tuesday they have arrested a man for alleged lewd and sexual acts with minors.

Someone reported a missing juvenile Oct. 21. The investigation led to an apartment complex in the 600 block of Old Quarry Road in Pleasant Hill. During attempts to contact the resident of the location, officers discovered an additional missing juvenile at the location, police said.
The juveniles were with 27-year-old Alejandro Gabriel Sainz of Pleasant Hill.

Detectives interviewed the juveniles and arrested Sainz at the scene. He was booked into county jail and charged by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office with 20 felonies: including lewd acts with a minor, possession and or control of matter depicting minor in sexual acts and other unlawful sexual intercourse charges.

Police said Sainz has been in custody since his arrest. Investigators removed multiple electronic devices from Sainz and his home.

Some details of the investigation are being withheld to protect the identity of the juveniles, but police said Sainz and the juveniles initially made contact on the internet.
