Alameda County Fair 2022 Dates Announced

PLEASANTON, CA — The 2022 Alameda County Fair will be held June 17 to July 10.

Next year's theme will be "The Road to Summer."

The announcement came shortly after the close of the 2021 fair, which was postponed to late October due to COVID-19 concerns and drew 100,000 guests over the course of nine days.

Just how big is a crowd of 100,000? The fair sold about 19,700 corn dogs, 8,400 funnel cakes and 3,800 BBQ turkey legs, according to a statement from the Alameda County Fair.

More than 6,300 people volunteered to make the event possible. The junior livestock auction raised more than $791,000.

The 2021 event was the first fall fair since 2019 and featured a Dia de los Muertos celebration, costume contest and trick-or-treating on Halloween.
