Alameda County Fair Board Seeking Two New Members

The board that helps put together the world-famous fair are seeking to qualified members for four-year terms.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association Board is seeking applicants to fill two open seats. Applications must be submitted by Sept. 27.

Board members provide leadership to assure the long-term success of the association and the massively popular fair they sponsor each summer. Each member serves a four-year term, and must commit to participating in monthly board meetings and various committee meetings.

Applicants must submit the following by Sept. 27:

  • A letter of interest expressing interest to serve on the board, commitment to its responsibilities, and the skills and assets they will bring to the role.
  • A current resume.
  • A completed Candidate Information Form, which contains information on past community service experience, professional experience, volunteer experience, business experience, etc.

Submissions can be made by completing the online application or by mailing it to the Alameda County Fairgrounds at 401 Pleasanton Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566.
