Boundary Area Map For Trustees In Pleasanton Schools Finished: Report

The Pleasanton Unified School District Board voted unanimously to finalize the fourth of five maps being considered.

PLEASANTON, CA — A new trustee boundary map for the Pleasanton Unified School District is on its way to the November 2022 election cycle after the school board's unanimous approval, The Independent reported.

This version is the fourth of five scenarios that were considered, the paper said. The board decided on Map 4 which allows for trustees to be elected by voters in geographical subdivisions rather than the current process of an at-large election.

“I think we had a good process,” PUSD Vice President Steve Maher told the paper. “I think that people were heard who needed to be heard, I think it has divided the district up in a way that the whole district will be represented.”
