City of Pleasanton Holds Technology Fair for Seniors
The "Bring Your Own Device" event will be held October 8 at the Pleasanton Senior Center.

PLEASANTON, CA — The City of Pleasanton is pleased to announce “Bring your Own Device,” a technology fair for seniors interested in learning about the newest advances in technology and social media. The event will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Pleasanton Senior Center, located at 5353 Sunol Blvd.
The morning will kick off with a keynote presentation by Dr. Richard G. Caro, a founding member of the Tech Enhanced Life, a public benefit corporation with a focus on improving the quality of life for the aging and their families by utilizing technology. Dr. Caro, a Rhodes Scholar with a Ph.D in Physics from Oxford University, has 24 issued patents and more than 20 years of experience in technology and business.
Individual workshops will follow Dr. Caro’s presentation and will focus on how to use the latest technology, such as iPhone apps, Skype, Facetime, photo editing in Windows 10 and online and mobile banking, to name a few.
