Earth Day Events Scheduled In Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton community can celebrate Earth Day the entire month of April with Alviso Adobe Community Park.

The Earth Day themes for 2022 are Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rejoice. There will be events every Saturday in April, the city said.

Scheduled events are listed below.

Saturday, April 2 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m:

• Author Spotlight with Dr. Jessica Hernandez, author of "Fresh Banana Leaves"
  • Alviso Adobe Community Park at 3465 Old Foothill Road

Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m:

• Creek Cleanup
  • Marilyn Murphy Kane Trail at 3200 W Lagoon Road

Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m:

• Fix-It Workshop
  • Pleasanton Senior Center at 5353 Sunol Boulevard

Saturday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m:

• On-site shredding at the Pleasanton Public Civic Center at 200 Old Bernal Avenue
• Author Visit with local children’s author Keely Parrack, who will share her children's picture book “Morning, Sunshine!”
  • Alviso Adobe Community Park at 3465 Old Foothill Road

Saturday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m:

• Arbor Day Celebration
