Edible Plant Sale Coming To Pleasanton
Guests can buy a variety of affordable produce, and attend free workshops given by UC-trained Master Gardeners.
PLEASANTON, CA — Spring is here, which means all kinds of new plants can be grown, and many are edible. The weekend of April 13-14 from 9-4, the UC Master Gardener Program of Alameda County will host an “Incredible Edible Plant Sale” at the Pleasanton Senior Center. Each plant costs $4, and proceeds will help support local initiatives like the Pleasanton Educational Garden and local food donation operations.
Over 100 varieties of vegetables will be available, from tomatoes to peppers to cucumbers to basil, and much more. UC-trained Master Gardeners will also provide free workshops on both days:
- 10:00 am - Beginning care for your new plants
- 10:30 am - Caring for plants in the garden
- 12:30 pm - Container gardening for vegetables
- 1:00 pm - Help your tomatoes thrive
The large catalog of available plants is available online, but all sales are in-person.
