PLEASANTON, CA — Jack McCauley, a technology executive who helped engineer “Guitar Hero” and served as vice president of engineering at Oculus VR, is auctioning off his luxurious Pleasanton estate starting Thursday.

The 6,535-square-foot home at 1333 Montrose Place is located along 14 luxurious acres, including a five-acre vineyard. It boasts seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, a large ADU, and a huge swimming pool with waterfalls and grottos.

The backyard, designed by Four Seasons landscape architect Mark Schatz, also offers a hot tub, golf course, bocce court, fire pit, and covered poolside outdoor kitchen.

Inside, the home boasts a deluxe kitchen, high ceilings, large windows, movie theater, wine cellar, wine tasting room, and much more.

The property was originally listed for $8.99 million, but will now sell to the highest bidder.
