Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Hosting 9/11 Ceremonies

PLEASANTON, CA — The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department will remember the victims and heroes of the 9/11 attacks this Thursday.

Firefighters will observe the ceremony at all LPFD stations in Livermore and Pleasanton, plus the headquarters at 3560 Nevada Street in Pleasanton. See here for a list of all station addresses.

Each ceremony will begin at 9:45, though attendees are encouraged to arrive between 9:15 and 9:30. Donuts and coffee will be served afterward.

At 5:30 Thursday evening, the Exchange Club of the San Ramon Valley is hosting a remembrance ceremony at Oak Hill Park in Danville featuring music from the Monte Vista High School choir and the Honor Guard and remarks from Harold Schapelhouman, the retired fire chief of Menlo Park who helped rescue survivors at Ground Zero and many other tragedies.
