PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton City Council will review 82 proposed projects for review and prioritization at its Tuesday meeting. The review comes after the council passed a budget implementing approximately $7 million in ongoing annual cuts in response to a structural General Fund deficit of roughly $10-13 million a year.

During the workshop, council members will participate in a dot-voting exercise to indicate preferred projects. Projects are divided into four tiers:

  1. Must Do: Legally required or critical for operations
  2. Committed Priorities: High strategic alignment and available resources
  3. Strategic Pipeline: Visionary initiatives with high potential impact
  4. Deferred: Valuable but not currently prioritized due to low urgency or resource constraints

  10. Implementation and financing for water infrastructure
