PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton Library opens Monday under a new schedule. Thanks to wide-ranging budget cuts, the library is now open 48 hours a week, down from 62.

The library is now open Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Sunday.

"While the change may affect some individuals and families, the updated schedule was developed through a thoughtful review of library usage trends, with the goal of minimizing disruption and continuing to provide essential library services to the community," the city said.
