Pleasanton School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Pleasanton is August 14. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Pleasanton Unified School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/11: Teacher Workday
• 8/14: First Day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/6: No school for Students (Mandatory Staff Development Day)
• 10/31: Minimum Day

November

• 11/1: No school for Students (Mandatory Staff Development Day)
• 11/10: No School (Veterans' Day)
• 11/14 - 11/16: Elementary Conference Minimum Days
• 11/17: No K-5 Students
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/22: Last Day of Semester, TK-8 Minimum Day
• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/8: No 6-12 Students (Teacher Workday)
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)

February

• 2/12: No School (Holiday)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/2: Minimum Day
• 3/30: No School (Holiday)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/18: K-5 Minimum Day
• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/1: Last Day of School
