'Reading by Design' Launches at Pleasanton Public Library
The summer reading program is designed for all ages and will run from June 3-July 31.

From the City of Pleasanton: The Pleasanton library is pleased to announce its summer reading program, “Reading by Design,” created for readers of all ages and will run from Saturday, June 3 through Monday, July 31, 2017. This summer’s reading program will feature games, events, free gifts and prize drawings.
Adult and Teen Reading by Design
Win prizes while you enjoy your summer reading! Participants can pick up Reading Bingo cards at the library beginning June 3. Participants must complete a minimum of four activities to qualify for a free gift and be entered into the prize drawing. The first 100 participants to complete the four activities will get a choice of a pocket-sized tool pen or a set of coloring postcards for adults. The reading program is open to Pleasanton library card holders ages 13 and older. Visit Pleasanton Library for more information.
Children’s Summer Reading Game
“Reading by Design” is geared toward children of all ages. Sign up at the children’s department, which is imaginatively decorated in the theme. On opening day, the library staff dress in costume to greet the kids. Participants who complete 10, 20, 30 and 40 hours of reading (or being read to) may claim prizes. The most enthusiastic participants can extend the fun by completing a bonus game to become eligible for a raffle prize at program’s end.
