Technology Upgrades to Close Library for One Day

The Pleasanton Public Library will be closed Tuesday, October 11.

PLEASANTON, CA —On Tuesday, October 11, 2016, the Pleasanton Public Library will be closed for the entire day to install new public computers and complete needed building repairs. The library will reopen on Wednesday, October 12.

When the library reopens, patrons will be greeted with all new public computers. There will be new desktop computers for those who are more comfortable with traditional computing and laptop lending for those who prefer a more mobile computing experience. Laptops will be available to borrow from a lending machine with a library card. The laptops may be used inside the library for up to two hours per day. When computers are returned to the machine, the machine will restore the computer to all of its original settings and recharge it so it is ready to be used by the next person.
