Thousands Without Power In Pleasanton On 93-Degree Day
A large power outage hit West Pleasanton, the latest of several this summer.

PLEASANTON, CA — 2,142 customers are without power Wednesday afternoon in Pleasanton, as temperatures hover around 93 degrees.
The power first went out in the area west of I-680 around Foothill Drive at 12:47 p.m., according to PG&E.

Power is estimated to be restored by 3:15 p.m. No cause of the outage was provided. Residents should find an air conditioned place nearby like a library, shopping center, or friend's house for the duration of the outage.

The outage is the latest of several this summer. Customers on Nextdoor reported four outages over the course of four to five weeks, with one lasting over 20 hours, according to a Pleasanton Weekly report. Another Pleasanton resident reported eight outages this summer.
Five Tri-Valley mayors and city managers recently met with PG&E leadership to discuss the ongoing power outage situation, according to the report.
