Wind Advisory In Effect For East Bay Hills
A freeze warning has been issued for Tuesday in parts of the Bay Area.
BAY AREA, CA — A hazardous weather outlook was issued Sunday for the San Francisco Bay Area, National Weather Service officials said. Strong, gusty winds were expected to move into the area Sunday night, mainly in the North and East Bay hills, where north to northeast winds are expected to gust between 45 and 55 mph.
A wind advisory goes into effect at 10 p.m. for both sets of hills, according to weather officials.
The strong winds in the hills are expected to continue until early Tuesday. The wind advisory expires Tuesday at 10 a.m. Breezy conditions are expected Monday in other Bay Area locations, including the Santa Cruz Mountains and coastal areas from Sonoma County to San Mateo County.
Weather officials said winds in all areas are expected to subside by Tuesday morning. Forecasters said nighttime temperatures are going to be very cool starting tonight through midweek.

Temperatures will be the coolest in the valleys, especially on Tuesday night when a freeze warning may be issued for some of the interior valleys, weather officials said.
