If you're gearing up for Spring cleaning, here are some resources to start you on your way:

Poway’s Household Hazardous Waste collection facility offers free disposal of household toxins and electronic waste for Poway residents. It’s open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with some closures on holiday weekends. Before you load up your car, check out the most current schedule (and list of items accepted). 

If you're paper purging, mark your calendar for Poway's free document shredding event on June 18 (limit of 2 banker boxes per household). Poway's regularly scheduled household hazardous waste collection also is available during this time and will have free mulch available for pick up. For more info view the calendar listing
