Motorcycle Rider Arrested After Short Pursuit on Hwy. 67
The rider hit several vehicles in Poway and fell off the bike a few times before his trip ended on state Route 67 and Hedy Drive.

A motorcycle rider was arrested Friday evening following a short pursuit on state Route 67 headed into Ramona after he was witnessed crashing into several vehicles in Poway, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
No injuries were reported other than to the rider, who complained of pain in his legs. Witnesses reported that he fell off the motorcycle several times, got back on and proceeded to ride on northbound 67, according to Lt. J.T. Faulkner.
The Sheriff’s Department received a call about the motorcycle at 5:31 p.m., according to a dispatcher, and a court service deputy in the area spotted the rider and attempted to pull him over. The rider, whose name has not been released, did not yield to the deputy’s lights and siren and continued northbound on 67.

After a short pursuit, the rider pulled over at the intersection of 67 and Hedy Drive and was taken into custody without incident, according to Faulkner.
The rider was taken to Pomarado Hospital for evaluation.
