Two Found Dead in Sabre Springs ID'd

Officials identify the two people who were found dead in Sabre Springs.

A man and a woman were found dead in an apartment in nearby community Sabre Springs Sunday morning, and the woman's husband was arrested on suspicion of murder, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The bodies of Valerie Marabante, 23, and Bernabe Villamar, 26, were found in the Evening Creek apartment community at 8:18 a.m., according to police. Both victims suffered traumatic injuries and were declared dead at the scene. Marabante's husband, Melchor Fonseca Marabante, was arrested at a hospital in Murrieta and brought back to San Diego, where the 41-year-old is expected to be charged with two counts of murder.

No additional information was available from police, but Rooney told the Union-Tribune that there was at least one report of gunfire around 3 a.m. Neighbors told the newspaper that they saw the couple move in about a month ago but the didn't know that the husband reportedly moved out on Feb. 13.
