Skate Park Meeting Wednesday Afternoon

Were you one of the willing participants or supporters for the proposed skate park resident Joe Minervini is trying to make happen?

There is a meeting today with Mary Ramsey, a park employee at Collier Park. Those interested, including skaters, should meet at the open tennis courts at Collier Park at 2 p.m.

Minervini is hoping to possibly use one of the tennis courts as a foundation for the skate park, which he wants to build ramps and bowls for.

The pro-active resident is asking anyone who can make it to show up and show their support for the skate park. Minervini is hoping volunteered time and materials, as well as funding from the county, will make the skate park a reality.
