Bodie Is Our Bodacious New Pet of the Week
This little guy has a huge capacity for love, says Escondido Humane Society.

Bodie is a 2-year-old neutered Chihuahua mix, ID 54224. Bodie may be small in size, but he has a huge capacity to love. In fact, he is a volunteer and staff favorite because of his easy-going, loving nature.
He came to the Escondido Humane Society as a stray in January with an Akita mix who has since been adopted. He thoroughly enjoys his walks. He has great leash manners, and he is working on basic training. Shelter staff thinks he is already potty trained. Because he is so people-oriented, he would do best with a family that will include him in all of their activities. He does well with other dogs, so he would be a great addition to a home that already has a canine family member. Because of his small size, he would do best in a home with older kids, or with dog-savvy children.
The Escondido Humane Society is having a March Madness dog adoption special now through the end of April. As part of the promotion, all adult dogs 6 months and older, like Bodie, can be adopted for just $45. All adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations and a wellness check after adoption. For more information, call (760) 888-2247 or log on to www.escondidohumanesociety.org. The Escondido Humane Society Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
