Bulldogs Beat the Storm Front but Not the Titans on Balmy Afternoon

Ramona outhits Poway, but final score showed 6-2 in favor of the host Espola Road team.

With temperatures in the high 70s and high humidity, it was comfy baseball weather Wednesday afternoon for host Poway and Ramona. The storm forecast for late afternoon never arrived. The Titans prevailed 6-2 to raise their overall record to 13-8 (4-3 in Palomar League). The Bulldogs got nine hits, scoring once in the second and fourth innings. But Poway had a five-run second inning and added a run in the sixth to ice the game, despite only six hits. Coach Bob Parry's victors had two errors to Coach Dean Welch's Bulldogs, whose record fell to 8-13 (1-6 in league).  The same teams meet again Friday at Ramona.
