Candelight Vigil Set Tonight at Olive Peirce Middle School for 8th-Grader
A memorial near the band room will honor Chris Jaquez, who died earlier this week.
A candelight vigil honoring eighth-grader Chris Jaquez will be held at Olive Peirce Middle School tonight, the school confirmed Wednesday.
Friends and loved ones of Chris are invited to visit the school at 8 p.m. and remember Chris, who died earlier this week.
The memorial will be held outside near the band room at the middle school at 1521 Hanson Ln., and candles will be lit in Chris' memory. Students were encouraged to wear blue and orange Wednesday, which were reportedly the teen's favorite color. Loved ones wishing to remember the student can do so on a Facebook page set up to honor the young boy.
