Park of the month-long celebration  to mark Julian's connection to the 19th century Gold Rush, the Father's Day Old-Fashioned Picnic, on Farmer Road next to the fire station, features traditional games such as egg-toss, a watermelon-eating contest, three-legged race, sack race and cake walk. Vendors and artisans will appear as well.
