Freeway Shooting 'Person of Interest' Identified
Police are looking for a man who may have been involved in the shootings Monday on I-805 and I-5.

San Diego Police are requesting the public's help locating a 24-year-old man who may have been involved in
Gunfire erupted a total of four times on I-805 and I-5 beginning at 10:30 a.m. The gunfire came from a moving vehicle with at least one occupant, police said. A California Highway Patrol officer and an ambulance were in the line of fire. At least one lane in both freeways had to temporarily closed for potential evidence collection.

According to a news release late Monday from the Highway Patrol, investigators have identified a person of interest—Enrique Ayon, a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, about 5'8" and weighing approximately 190 lbs. They believe Ayon is armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
The vehicle reported to have been used in the crime is a 2006 white Chevrolet Malibu with a license plate number 5POM917.
