How To Spread Cheer In Ramona: Toys For Tots Needs Your Help

RAMONA, CA — The holiday season is in full swing, Ramona. Are you looking to help a child in your community celebrate the season?

Among the options Ramona residents have to help out their communities is the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, which kicked off in November. It continues a long-held tradition of providing Christmas cheer to children across the country.

Through Dec. 13, Ramona residents can participate in the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive by donating to Toys for Tots. Residents interested in donating can either do it online by purchasing a toy or in-person by visiting any Disney store in the country.

For every donation made, the company donates an additional $1. This fundraising event marks the third consecutive year Disney teamed up with Toys for Tots to help bring joy to children in underserved communities across the country. This year, the Walt Disney Company kicked off the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive by donating $500,000 to Marine Toys for Tots Program on “Good Morning America” Nov. 4, Disney Parks reported.

Ramona residents can also support Marine Toys for Tots by searching for their local donation campaign through the charity’s website. In 2020, the Toys for Tots campaign based at Camp Pendleton distributed 58,963 toys and supported 45,963 children, while the campaign based in San Diego County distributed 71,163 toys and supported 47,927 children.

Donations of new and unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots can be made at any Disney store. The closest Disney store is at The Shops at Las Americas at 4321 Camino De La Plaza in San Diego.
