Intermountain Responds to 2 Vehicle Accidents Sunday; No Major Injuries Reported

Two trucks went off the road in Ramona Sunday; the cause of both accidents is under investigation.

Ramona's Intermountain Fire and Rescue responded to two different car accidents Sunday, both of which involved a vehicle leaving the roadway.

The first incident took place at 5:20 p.m. near Highway 78 at Old Julian Highway. According to Capt. Adam Pollock, a Ford F-350 went over the side of the road.

The driver, an 81-year-old man, was the only patient and transported in stable condition to a hospital via ambulance, according to Intermountain Fire and Rescue.

The driver was wearing his seat and did not require extrication, Pollock said.

Just three hours later, another single-vehicle accident took place at Sutherland Dam Road at 8:48 p.m.

Pollock said a Ford U-Haul truck went over the side of the road, but no injuries were reported.

A 45-year-old man was driving and wearing his seatbelt, but didn't require medical assistance, according to Pollock.

Intermountain Fire and Rescue said the cause of both accidents is currently under investigation.
