Local Tennis Team Wins the 2011 Leah’s League BB Inland Division Championship; They're off To Watch Indian Wells in March

Congratulations to Ramona’s Riviera Oaks Pink Tennis Team for winning the 2011 Leah’s League BB Inland Division Championship against nine other local San Diego tennis clubs.  The BB Pink Team, captained by Juanita Cappadocia, played their last league match against Scripps Ranch Swim & Racquet Club on November 7th.  The Ramona team figured they would need to capture at least 4 out of 9 possible points against the Scripps Ranch team in order to win the division title and they did just that with 4.2 points. Overall, it was very tough competition with the Ramona team getting enough points to win the division.

This isn’t the first time Juanita has lead her team to victory.  In the spring, the Riviera Oaks Pink Team won the Tennis Competitor’s League of San Diego BB Inland Division #1.  The division in this league consisted of eight other local San Diego tennis clubs.

The Riviera Oaks Pink Team is a very close team.  They often get together off the courts for social events.  Their annual Indian Wells weekend to watch the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament is coming in March and is already in the planning stages.  There, they get to enjoy a weekend of watching professional tennis while relaxing and socializing with each other.  The Riviera Oaks Pink Team knows it’s not all about winning, but they work hard at doing their best on the courts and support each other always.
