The credit card had been reported stolen Nov. 22 by a woman who said her purse was taken in Ramona. Montion said Dudley was identified as a suspect in the earlier burglary when he went to a check-cashing business in Escondido hours later and tried to cash a personal check in someone else's name.
Dudley was booked into the Vista jail on suspicion of felony burglary, felony possession of stolen property and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $25,000. Dudley was on probation for unspecified crimes at the time of his arrest, Montion said.
