Man Hit By Truck on San Vicente Road Airlifted to Hospital

A man was struck by a truck in Ramona Monday and sustained major injuries, authorities said.

The driver of what was described as a brown Chevrolet dually truck crashed into the pedestrian about 9:30 a.m. in the vicinity of San Vicente Road and Arena Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man was taken by air ambulance to Palomar Medical Center, CHP officials said.
