Rainfall Record Broken in Ramona; More on the Way

More than an inch of rain fell on Friday, shattering a 24-year-old record.

The sun is shining again after a rainy Friday, when Ramona easily broke the record for rainfall on Nov. 4. The 1.04 inches recorded in Ramona Friday topped the .17-inch total in 1987, which beat a mark set in 1974.

Enjoy the sun while you can, as rain is expected to return Sunday. The National Weather Service forecast for Ramona:

Saturday Afternoon: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. West wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. West wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm.

Sunday: Rain, mainly after 11am. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 58. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

Sunday Night: Showers, mainly before 11pm. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 37. West wind between 10 and 15 mph becoming calm. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 59. East wind around 5 mph becoming west.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38. Β
