Ramona Quietly Remembers 9/11

Main Street was studded with American flags in remembrance of the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Tuesday marked the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. While Ramona didn't have a public memorial to remember the fallen, its remembrance was poignant.

American flags studded Main Street and businesses proudly hung the stars and stripes to show their respect for the 3,000 people who perished and the heroes that died trying to save them.

Bryan Wadlington, president of the water board, gave a speech honoring the heroes of 9/11 and asked for a moment of silence. The fire department, library, sheriff's department and even Olive Peirce Middle School flew their flags at half-mast.
