Ramona Remembers a Loved One on Valentine's Day

Someone planted red plastic flowers in a heart along San Vicente Road. We understand that this could be a memorial to Deviney Snider. She and Michael Addy died on the road about 10 years ago.

Valentines hanging in a tree and red plastic roses planted in a heart shape made of rocks appear to be in remembrance of Deviney Snider, who died in a car accident on San Vicente Road when she was in her senior year at Ramona High School in 1999.

According to a former member of the Trails and Transportation subcommittee of the Ramona Community Planning Group, Deviney, 17, and Michael Addy died in tragic accidents in the "S" bend on the road and this precipitated improvements to it.

Deviney's accident happened on a dark, rainy evening, we're told. Michael is reported to have hit a tree after another vehicle caused him to veer off the road. Michael's loved ones also remember him with a memorial on the other side of San Vicente Road, according to our source.
