Ramona Water District Appoints Acting General Manager: Report
The district appointed Water Operations Manager Joe Lomeli to replace Craig Schmollinger.
RAMONA, CA — The Ramona Municipal Water District voted unanimously to appoint Water Operations Manager Joe Lomeli as acting general manager, the Ramona Sentinel reported.
The board is expected to appoint a new general manager June 14.
Lomeli replaces Craig Schmollinger, who has served as acting general manager March 2021 and chief financial officer since April 2018, according to the Sentinel. He resigned from the district May 26.

Lomeli has worked for the water district for six and a half years, and has been employed in the water industry for 32 years. He worked at the Western Municipal Water District in Riverside County for ten years before joining the Ramona Municipal Water District.
