Readers' Choice—San Vicente is the Favorite Local Place To Play Golf

It's home to Ramona High School Girls Golf Team and wild turkeys too.

Readers who participated in our poll about their favorite golf course in Ramona chose .

The course on San Vicente Road in San Diego Country Estates offers 18 holes with a Par 72. It was designed by Ted Robinson. A driving range and short game practice area are offered. Lessons with a PGA professional are available.

"San Vicente Golf Course is the 'home' course for the Ramona High School
Girls Golf Team, coached by our golf pro, John Rathbun," Marketing Coordinator Janice Baldridge told Patch. "It is used as a testing course for individuals to earn their PGA accreditation."

San Vicente is a public course irrigated with 100 percent reclaimed water. Visitors may choose to drive a cart or walk the course.

Baldridge reminds potential visitors that the course is "still the home of Ramona's wild turkeys."
