Two solo-vehicle accidents were reported on State Route 78 Monday morning, one which closed the road in both directions east of Julian, and another closer to Ramona, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A crash east of Ramona, in the 24200 block of state Route 78, was reported by the CHP at about 10 a.m. A single vehicle was reported to have swerved, hit a tree, and blocked the road for about an hour. Passengers were transported by ambulance from the scene, according to the Ramona Sentinel.
Another accident on State Route 78 near Mastros Trailer Park Road closed the road around 11 a.m. The stretch of rural roadway east of Julian was closed for about an hour due to the single-vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
