Theresa Ann Giesemann died at Palomar Hospital on Dec. 1, according to a U-T San Diego obituary. She was 79.
She was born in Omaha, NE, in 1934, the sixth of eight children in the family, and married Thomas Giesemann in 1956. They raised seven kids, living in Iowa, Arizona, Alabama and then came to Ramona in 1982, where they stayed.
Theresa is remembered as generous, strong of will and endurance, and a "kind, loving spirit who brought joy and happiness to all those who knew and loved her."
A viewing is scheduled for Dec. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Poway Bernardo Mortuary, 13243 Poway Rd, with a Rosary recital at 7 p.m. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 537 E. St. A committal is also scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Giesemann, many children and grandchildren, two sisters and two cats.
